Boy, 15, held over murder attempt

A 15-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a man was stabbed in the neck and face.

Police said the 22-year-old was attacked in King Street in Wigton, Cumbria, on 15 August.

The boy and a 33-year-old man were arrested after reports a car belonging to the victim's family had been attacked on Tuesday evening.

The 33-year-old is being held on suspicion of various offences, including witness intimidation.

Police said the victim was now recovering at home after being treated in hospital.
